## Summary

The upcoming procurement process titled "Supply and Support of Hoses, Pipe Engineering Work and Valves (HPV) for Royal Navy Vessels" is spearheaded by the Defence Equipment and Support, a central government public authority located at MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol. This project focuses on the supply and support services related to spares, repairs, and technical services for hoses, pipe engineering works, and valves used in Royal Navy vessels. Currently in the planning stage, key engagements and requests for information are scheduled, with expressions of interest due by 29th May 2026. The procurement spans an estimated value of £180 million excluding VAT over a five-year term, starting from 31st March 2027, with delivery primarily in the UK.

This contract presents considerable opportunities for businesses involved in defence-related and general pipeline supply markets. With an emphasis on market capability and engagement, opportunities abound for both primary contractors and subcontractors, especially SMEs, across the supply chain, including manufacturing, distribution, and technical support sectors. The competitive flexible procurement procedure also signals openness to innovative solutions in materials and delivery mechanisms, fostering potential partnerships and business expansion. Businesses with expertise in high-pressure, low-pressure pipelines and those conversant with defence compliance standards will find this tender particularly aligned to their capabilities.
