## Summary

The procurement process for the "Road User Charging Outstation Spares, Repairs, and Firmware" was successfully completed with a direct award to YUNEX LIMITED. This contract, valued at £24,000,000 with a gross amount of £28,800,000, is facilitated by Transport for London, a central government public authority based in London. The procurement falls under the industry category of support services for road transport, with its implementation set across England. The procurement method employed is a direct award due to technical and intellectual property constraints, which made YUNEX the singular suitable supplier. Key dates indicate the contract will span from 20th September 2028 to 19th September 2038, ensuring ongoing maintenance and updates for camera systems crucial to the Road User Charging programme.

This tender represents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in electronic maintenance, firmware updates, and equipment repairs, particularly those capable of providing Original Equipment Manufacturer-level services. Given its reliance on specific proprietary technologies, businesses with existing expertise in supporting YUNEX equipment or similar technology platforms may find this contract especially beneficial. Such businesses can leverage this opportunity for sustained growth and establish a significant footprint in public infrastructure projects, enhancing their portfolio and extending technical capabilities within the transport systems sector.

## Notice

They include: -Firmware/software updates to maintain outstation performance and security; -Ongoing access to a repair facility for legacy outstation hardware; and -Access to bespoke spare parts not available on the open market. This is planned to continue until all cameras are removed and replaced at their end of life, within the term of the to-be-awarded, Detection and Enforcement Infrastructure contract which has been published under Notice Identifier: 2025/S 000-070268.
