## Summary

The NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board is proceeding with an intention to award a contract for dementia diagnostic and post-diagnostic services to ReMind UK. Classified under rehabilitation services, this contract aims to enhance early detection and treatment of dementia within the region. Governed by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, and not the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, this procurement bypasses typical competition calls, utilising a direct award process. The procurement process is currently in the 'award' stage, with a standstill period allowing representations until 27th February 2026. The contract is valued at £965,994 with a CUF, covering services from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2028.

This tender creates opportunities particularly for businesses involved in healthcare services, focusing on dementia care and rehabilitation. Organisations proficient in delivering quality, innovative and sustainable healthcare solutions can leverage this service specification to expand their services in addressing dementia and reducing health inequalities. As the incumbent provider, ReMind UK, already demonstrates success in meeting activity outcomes and value expectations, new market entrants or collaborative ventures in similar domains could benefit from aligning with valuable service standards outlined. This represents a prime opportunity for healthcare providers interested in strengthening their presence in the UK's South West health sector through collaboration and innovation.
