## Summary

NHS Resolution, based in London, is extending its Legal Panel Framework contract for legal advisory and representation services. This decision follows the natural end of its current contracts, with a new completion date set for 28 February 2027. The procurement falls under the services category specifically targeting legal services and employs a negotiated process without a contract notice. This limited procurement method was chosen due to extreme urgency. This notice is part of the award stage of the procurement process, with contracts involving several notable suppliers such as Bevan Brittan LLP and Clyde & Co LLP. Key dates mentioned include the notice date of 18 February 2026, indicating that the procurement process for further services will continue during 2026.

This extension provides valuable opportunities for businesses within the legal industry, particularly those offering specialised advisory and representation services in areas such as clinical liabilities and regulatory law. Valuable for large legal firms, the project involves extensive claims management and has an estimated contract value that is yet to be confirmed. Firms that can effectively collaborate with NHS Resolution's case handlers to investigate liabilities, respond to allegations, and negotiate settlements would be well-suited to compete for future opportunities. The procurement method hints at the need for rapid response teams, making this extension advantageous for firms proficient in handling urgent and complex legal matters.
