## Summary

Leeds City Council is in the planning stage of the Morley Public Art Project 2026, part of the Greener and Connected Morley Town Deal. The council seeks to commission an artist or collective for three site-specific projects in Morley, aiming to enhance pedestrian routes to the railway station and improve local visual appeal. This initiative is classified under artistic services, offering a total contract value of £60,000, with works expected from June to June 2026 in the United Kingdom's region. Artists interested are invited to provide their feedback by 24 March 2026, following the preliminary market engagement notice.

This tender presents opportunities for artists, particularly those established locally, as local residents are prioritised, yet competition remains open to uphold quality standards. Businesses specialising in artistic services, especially SMEs and VCSEs, can benefit from increased visibility and community engagement through this project. The focus on original artwork reflecting Morley's heritage affords unique creative opportunities for artists wishing to showcase their skills in public art and contribute to local cultural identity.
