## Summary

The London Borough of Hillingdon has concluded a procurement process for the supply and delivery of food waste containers, specifically caddies, as part of its broader strategy to enhance efficiency and diminish its carbon footprint. Categorised under goods in the refuse skips sector, this procurement process utilised a further competition method within the ESPO Framework 860_22 Lot 7, avoiding prior publication of a call for competition. This process was completed on 19 February 2026, and the contract was signed with IPL Plastics UK LTD on 31 December 2025. This contract is valued at £165,430 and is active, with the location specified in the UK region UKI74.

This tender represents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in manufacturing or supplying waste management products, particularly those with an interest in sustainable solutions that align with environmental strategies. The procurement process involved a competition among three bids, emphasising equal consideration for quality and price as award criteria. Businesses with a focus on sustainable practices and efficiency improvement would be ideally suited to compete in similar processes, offering potential growth through collaboration with local or regional authorities like the London Borough of Hillingdon. The use of frameworks such as ESPO can facilitate entry into public sector contracts for firms looking to expand their portfolios.
