The procurement process is currently in the tender stage, with proposals due by 22 March 2026. The project is planned for the rear of KGV Playing Fields in Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom. It is set to adhere to standards from organisations such as British Cycling. The council seeks contractors with expertise in constructing recreational installations, particularly those familiar with International Mountain Bike Association Standards and ROSPA guidelines. The contract period starts on 1 May 2026 and ends on 30 September 2026, offering a gross value of £120,000.

This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in landscaping work for sports grounds, recreational installations, and repair work on recreational areas. It is an ideal opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises with strong technical ability and experience in bike track construction.
