## Summary

James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a contract for the provision of GP Front Door Service in the Emergency Department for the year 2026/27. This procurement process falls under the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, using a direct award process. Services are scheduled to commence on 1st April 2026 and conclude on 31st March 2027. The procurement category is services, specifically classified under hospital and related services. The contract is set in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, within the UKH14 and UKH17 regions. The procurement approach bypasses the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, opting for a limited procurement method without prior publication of a call for competition.

This tender nurtures growth opportunities for businesses skilled in healthcare services, particularly those with capabilities to deliver GP services in emergency settings. Companies like Norfolk Primary Care, the intended supplier, can leverage existing relationships and service frameworks to ensure seamless continuity. Businesses that are adaptable, possess a large-scale operational capacity, and can meet national healthcare wait requirements will be well-positioned in competing for such contracts. This procurement exemplifies how market players can demonstrate and expand their footprint through strategically aligned service offerings.
