## Summary

The public procurement process for the "Musculoskeletal Surgical 2028 (Total Orthopaedic Solutions)" project is currently in the planning stage, spearheaded by Supply Chain Coordination Limited, a sub-central government public authority located in London, United Kingdom. The procurement is focused on supplying goods and services related to Orthopaedic, Trauma, and Spine procedures, with significant product categorizations like orthopaedic implants and surgical instruments. The total estimated contract value is £3.6 billion. Key engagement milestones include online activities in May 2026, in-person activities in June 2026, and further online discussions in September 2026. Interested suppliers are encouraged to engage with the authority, though there is no guarantee of a subsequent formal procurement process or contract awards.

This procurement presents a substantial opportunity for SMEs and VCSEs engaged in the orthopaedics and medical equipment sector to expand their market presence. Companies with capabilities in producing or managing orthopaedic supplies, medical devices, or offering relevant equipment management services will find this opportunity financially rewarding. Compliance with relevant certifications, such as ISO certifications and measures for modern slavery transparency, along with fulfilling sustainability assessments, will be crucial for tenderers. Engaging in early market engagement can help businesses navigate commercial evaluation criteria effectively and prepare comprehensive bids that align with the framework agreement's standards and principles.
