## Summary

The London Borough of Southwark has initiated a public procurement process for "Heating & Water Term Contracts for Repairs & Maintenance," focusing on various areas including Individual Heating, Communal Heating, Water Hygiene, Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), and Temporary Boilers. The procurement falls under the industry category of works and will be conducted in the region of UKI44, United Kingdom. This tender is currently in the tender stage with a competitive flexible procedure. The due date for expressions of interest is 9th July 2026, with the enquiry period concluding on 30th June 2026. The overall contract value is estimated at £256,000,000, with a gross amount of £307,200,000. The procurement allows electronic submissions in English, and the contracts are planned to commence in April 2027.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses, particularly those specialising in heating and water repairs and installation, seeking to expand their operations within the public sector. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate as the suitability criteria acknowledge SMEs. The tender process involves a two-stage procedure, beginning with a Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ) and followed by a Tender Phase focusing on Quality and Price. Businesses capable of delivering service, repair, and maintenance for heating and water systems will find the geographic divisions offer multiple contract opportunities, allowing for potential regional coverage within the Greater London area. This procurement offers a long-term contract of up to ten years, including renewal options, thus providing a stable client base and revenue stream for successful bidders.
