## Summary

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a contractor to design and build a modular data centre at their headquarters in Bangor, United Kingdom. This project, titled "YG Datacentre Project" (BCU-ITT-61954), falls under the architectural, construction, engineering, inspection services, installation services (except software), IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support, and electrical installation work categories. The procurement process is at the tender stage, initiated on 24 February 2026, with the enquiry period closing on 11 March 2026, and submissions due by 18 March 2026. The contract period is expected to run from 2 May 2026 to 30 April 2027, with a budget of up to £480,000. This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialised in modular data centre solutions, particularly those with expertise in resilient digital infrastructure within healthcare environments. The project necessitates businesses with a strong background in design-and-build solutions, including off-site manufacturing, installation, integration, and commissioning of critical systems like electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, fire suppression, and others. SMEs are encouraged to apply, as the Health Board prioritises energy efficiency, scalability, digital resilience, and resource efficiency, aligning with modern sustainability and estate-modernisation goals. With a focus on delivering resilient and secure data centres, this tender presents a lucrative opportunity for firms excelling in technical and commercial responses within these specialised sectors.
