## Summary

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process inviting industry collaboration on developing a Choice Based Lettings system. This project aims to enhance the management of their housing register and allocations services, supporting the council's capabilities in assisting residents with their housing needs. Up to 150 officers, including registered social providers, will need access to this system. The current housing system's contract expires on 31 May 2027, and the council is engaging in preliminary market testing to evaluate the interest and innovation potential within the industry. This initiative is classified under housing services, with delivery spanning regions across the United Kingdom.

Businesses specializing in housing service solutions, especially those with expertise in managing large data systems and providing multi-user accessibility, stand to benefit greatly from participating in this tender. This opportunity presents a lucrative avenue for such companies to expand their client portfolio, particularly those interested in collaborating with local government. The procurement method anticipates innovation and collaboration, making it ideal for firms looking to integrate their technological solutions with public sector operations. Engaging in this initial market testing can offer insights into the market's readiness and allow companies to align their offerings with the council's specific administrative and operational needs.
