## Summary

Westminster City Council, in collaboration with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, is planning a procurement process titled "Care and Support Services - Extra Care Housing," targeting the social work and related services sector. This initiative falls within the planning stage of procurement and will involve the delivery of services across multiple Extra Care Housing schemes in London, including locations such as Leonora House, James Hill House, Miranda House, and Burgess Field. A virtual Market Engagement Event is scheduled for 12th March 2026 to discuss the service model, commercial approach, and provide opportunities for Q&A. Interested parties must register through the Jaggaer platform to participate. The project is expected to commence services by April 2027, with a contract value estimated at £26.4 million.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs and VCSEs, given the focus on local delivery and community connection. Suppliers capable of providing 24/7 onsite staffing, emergency care response, and personalised care services tailored to individual needs will find this contract well-suited to their capabilities. The nature of the block contract, covering both general and dementia units, requires collaboration with housing partners, making it ideal for organisations equipped to integrate health, housing, and community services. Preparing for the virtual engagement event can position businesses favourably in this competitive landscape.
