## Summary

NHS Highland has awarded the Distress Brief Intervention service contract for delivery across North Highland and Argyll and Bute to Change Mental Health Ltd. This procurement, classified under health and social work services, aims to offer improved coordination and response to individuals in distress, targeting those aged 16 and above. The contract, agreed initially for two years starting from 1 April 2026, may be extended for up to an additional three years. NHS Highland, located in Inverness, UK, has opted for a limited procurement method without prior publication of a call for competition due to technical reasons and an absence of suitable competitors. Key contractual dates include the signing on 6 April 2026, and the substantial contract value recorded at £1,630,113.88 GBP.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those with experience in delivering compassionate and coordinated responses to individuals experiencing distress. Organisations capable of inter-agency collaboration and community support integration will be well-positioned to benefit from potential contract extensions and additional service provisions. Given the specific nature and existing provider experience, competing businesses would require a strong understanding of the Distress Brief Intervention programme and the capability for technical delivery. The focus on regional service delivery suggests potential for local engagement and expansion within the Highland area.
