## Summary

The recent procurement process conducted by Durham Aged Mineworkers' Homes Association (DAMHA) focuses on consolidating IT service contracts. DAMHA has awarded a direct contract to Pulsant Limited for Information Technology services including cloud services, data centres, and Microsoft 365 Business Premium licences. The procurement process was designed to align 14 existing contracts into a single co-terminus agreement scheduled to commence on 1st June 2026 and end on 31st May 2028. Though the procurement method bypassed competitive bidding due to the technical capabilities of the incumbent supplier, Pulsant Limited, the procurement has followed the legal basis outlined in the Procurement Act of 2023. This contract, estimated at £210,664.95, will cover services within the UKC region of the United Kingdom.

This tender offers significant opportunities for business growth, particularly for firms providing comprehensive IT solutions and services. While the current contract directly awarded to Pulsant Limited exemplifies value in technical expertise and service integration, prospective competitors can position themselves by showcasing innovative IT solutions and efficiency in contract management. Businesses specialising in cloud services, data centres, and disaster recovery solutions may benefit from similar future procurements by highlighting competitive advantages such as cost-effectiveness, scalability, and rapid deployment. Such procurements not only present an avenue for sustained growth through service delivery but also inspire potential collaborative opportunities within the IT industry.
