## Summary

Worcestershire County Council is conducting a tender process for the provision of support services at Gilbert Court as part of its Extra Care schemes. The project, titled "ASC26015 Extra Care at Gilbert Court," falls under the health and social work services category (CPV codes 85000000 and 85300000) and is part of the light-touch regime with an open procurement method. This procurement is particularly focused on integrating independent living with care services for individuals aged 55 and over, ensuring 24/7 support is available. Key dates to note are the tender submission deadline on 23rd June 2026, the end of the enquiry period on 16th June 2026, and the anticipated contract award by 1st August 2026, with the contract period running from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2031. The project is estimated at a gross value of £3,385,242 and will take place in the region of UKG12 in the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in delivering compliant, quality care services, particularly those with experience in health and social work services or domiciliary care. Companies capable of providing responsive, resilient operations, along with a competent workforce, will find this project aligns well with their expertise. Moreover, businesses can leverage this contract to deliver measurable social value, supporting Worcestershire's economic, social, and environmental priorities. SMEs with innovative approaches to personalised and community-integrated services are poised to expand their portfolios and establish themselves firmly in the public sector market. The open procedure allows for broad competition, inviting capable providers who can contribute positively to the local community and, by extension, enhance their business growth through collaboration and high service standards.

## Notice

Worcestershire County Council currently commission 12 extra care schemes across Worcestershire in partnership with the Housing Providers. In some schemes, the housing provider and the care provider are separate organisations, while in others, the housing provider also delivers the onsite care. An Extra Care Scheme is designed for individuals, typically aged 55 and over, and it combines independent living with access to 24/7 support and care services. It provides self-contained accommodation and offers additional services such as personal care and domestic assistance tailored to the individual's needs. The goal is to maintain independence and quality of life by ensuring necessary support is readily available. The model integrates housing management, 24/7 support and care and is key for people to live the most independent and best life they can. There are two specific areas of support: 1. Onsite care for individuals - this is personal care which everyone who lives in the scheme may or may not need. This personal care tends to be the needs assessed by Adult Social Care. 2. Core support - this is for people living within the scheme which is a combination of housing, support and domiciliary care. This core support is available to everyone living within the extra care scheme. It is low level support to help people maintain their tenancy, to access opportunities within the scheme and in the wider local community such as leisure activities, social networking, or lifelong learning. The Council is seeking a supplier to provide the two specific areas of support above at one of its extra care schemes at Gilbert Court.
