Birmingham City Council is seeking to procure an Ofqual regulated training provider for a Level 5 Housing Management Qualification, aimed at preparing its City Housing Directorate workforce for the Competence and Conduct Standard expected to be enforced in October 2026. This procurement is in the tender stage and involves an open competition below the threshold using the Council's 'In-tend' e-tendering system. Interested suppliers must submit their tender applications by noon on 20th March 2026. This tender presents a significant business opportunity for providers specialising in education and personnel training services, particularly those with expertise in housing management. Suppliers who can deliver high-quality staff training programmes and demonstrate compliance with Ofqual standards could find this contract beneficial to expand their business reach within the public authority sector. Businesses focusing on housing qualifications, workforce development, and training services in compliance are well-suited to compete for this tender, which carries award criteria heavily weighted towards quality and price. With a total contract value of £160,000, entities offering competitive pricing alongside high-standard service delivery have the potential to secure this long-term partnership.
