## Summary

The procurement process involves NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) issuing an intention to award notice for the contract titled "BNSSG ICB - Second Step - Beside". This tender falls under the health services industry category and covers the UK region of Bristol. The current procurement stage is the award stage under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), with a standstill period ending on 12th March 2026. The contract aims to provide coordinated support for individuals aged sixteen and over who have been bereaved by suicide in the BNSSG and BANES areas. The decision by the BNSSG ICB Board was made on 6th November 2025, with the formal contract period running from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2029.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses operating in the healthcare sector, particularly those specialising in emotional and practical support services for bereavement. Organisations with a focus on collaboration, service integration, and the enhancement of social value are well-suited to compete. Furthermore, firms that can demonstrate quality, innovation, and the capability to address social inequalities will have an advantage due to the key criteria for provider selection. As the procurement uses a direct award approach without prior competition, existing providers like Second Step have the capability to expand their services to meet the contract requirements effectively.
