## Summary

The procurement process for the "BNSSG ICB - Second Step - Sanctuary" has been managed by the NHS Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board, currently in collaboration with Gloucestershire ICB. This contract, valued at £840,222, was awarded following a direct award process under the Provider Selection Regime, exempt from the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and The Procurement Act 2023. The awarded contract is to provide out-of-hours mental health services at Gloucester House, Southmead Hospital, across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. It covers the period from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2029 without extension options. The service operates Thursday to Monday, with crucial support options including face-to-face sessions and activities, focusing on individuals aged 16 and over experiencing emotional distress. The formal contract award was concluded on 26th June 2026 after a standstill period with no representations to the award.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those with expertise in mental health care and support. The contract's focus on providing high-quality, innovative, and sustainable services, with an emphasis on improving access and reducing health inequalities, suggests that businesses experienced in developing social value in healthcare settings will be particularly well-suited to compete. Companies that can demonstrate a commitment to enhancing service integration and collaboration will find this tender an excellent avenue for growth. While the procurement used a limited process through a direct award, understanding the evolving needs and priorities of the NHS in this area could provide strategic advantages for future opportunities.
