## Summary

The Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a contract for "Crisis Wellbeing Practitioner 26-27" under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, with the award made on 25th March 2026. This contract involves providing health services specifically focused on crisis wellbeing for young people aged 0-17, who are part of the Central Crisis Assessment and Intensive Support Team (CAIST). The contract, valued at £51,061.21 annually, encompasses services from 1st January 2026 to 31st March 2027, located in the region of UKH1 (Norfolk and Suffolk). This procurement was conducted via a direct award process without a prior call for competition, considering it falls outside the scope of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the healthcare services industry, particularly those experienced in mental health and youth support services. Companies capable of delivering high-quality support to young individuals in crisis, exhibiting innovation, and providing value through collaboration and service sustainability are well-suited for such contracts. Although the current contract was awarded to the existing provider YMCA Norfolk, future opportunities may emerge for other providers with a proven track record of improving access, reducing health inequalities, and delivering social value. The reliance on a limited procurement method points to potential benefits for companies that establish strong collaborations with buying organisations such as the NHS Foundation Trusts.
