## Summary

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust, is currently in the tender stage for a contract involving the provision of Level 2 oral surgery services in the regions of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire. This opportunity is part of the Provider Selection Regime Wales, specifically excluding the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The contract is valued at £2,530,000 and will commence on 1st October 2026, concluding on 30th September 2031, with an option to extend for an additional five years. Interested parties must submit their bids through the eTenderwales platform before the deadline on 3rd June 2026. The primary focus is to deliver services in community settings, thereby reducing travel time and environmental impact for patients over 16 years old requiring complex oral surgeries such as dento-alveolar procedures.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for growth and expansion for businesses within the dental services sector. Companies with the capability to establish or expand services in community settings near Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, or Pembrokeshire are particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. The emphasis on patient-centred care, combined with a substantial contract value and potential five-year extension, makes this an attractive prospect for consortia or larger dental practices. Additionally, providers with experience in collaborating with health boards and hospital dental services will find this tender aligns well with their expertise, allowing for the development of strong local partnerships and comprehensive service delivery models.
