## Summary

The National Archives is actively seeking a delivery partner for podcast content and production services, focusing on expanding its "On the Record at The National Archives" podcast. This project is categorised under recreational, cultural, and sporting services and will operate across various UK regions. The procurement process is in the tender stage, with an end date for tenders set for 2nd April 2026. This open competition allows businesses to submit proposals to The National Archives via email. The contract period extends from 1st May 2026 to 30th April 2028, with a maximum potential expenditure of £135,000, though this figure is not guaranteed and will depend on service needs.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses that specialise in storytelling and podcast production, especially those experienced in engaging non-specialist audiences and collaborating with heritage organisations. Companies with a keen understanding of government processes and a sensitivity to working with civil servants will find this project particularly suitable. Given the open procurement method, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with a dynamic, flexible approach to content creation are encouraged to participate. The emphasis on quality over price in the award criteria highlights the importance of delivering high-standard, creative service solutions. Participants should prepare to engage closely with The National Archives' digital engagement team to cultivate innovative, insightful podcast content.
