## Summary

The NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract for the "Early Prevention Programme – Black Males & Mental Health." This programme focuses on providing culturally competent mental health support for young Black men. The procurement falls under the 'Psychiatrist or psychologist services' category and targets locations including Haringey and Islington in London. The contract, valued at £130,000, runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. This award was executed under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulations 2023, a process characterised by a direct award without prior publication due to specific regulatory scope considerations. The decision was finalised by the NCL ICB Committee on 24 February 2026, with formal award confirmed on 17 March 2026 following the standstill period.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health interventions, particularly those who can provide culturally tailored services. Companies with expertise in quality, innovation, and social value, as demonstrated by the contract's award criteria, would be well-suited to compete in this sector. The procurement method supports streamlined participation, bypassing extensive competition calls, thus offering an advantageous scenario for established providers familiar with local healthcare needs and committed to improving mental health outcomes. Moreover, businesses adept at integration, collaboration, and service sustainability may leverage this contract to establish or expand their footprint within the NHS framework, ultimately enhancing access to mental health services and reducing health inequalities.
