## Summary

Cambridgeshire County Council, acting on behalf of the Greater Cambridge Partnership, is in the tender stage for the "26013 Cambourne to Cambridge Construction Procurement" project. This initiative is aimed at enhancing transport connectivity by constructing a guided busway from Cambourne to Cambridge. Key components include a segregated guided busway, public transport stops, bridges over significant crossings, and a Travel Hub. The contract, valued at £150 million with a gross amount of £180 million, is being procured through a selective competitive flexible procedure under the UK Procurement Act 2023. Interested parties must digitally submit their proposals via the Council's e-tendering portal by 2nd July 2026, with an end date for the award period set on 14th December 2026. The contract period spans from 4th January 2027 to 31st December 2030, focusing on the construction industry with CPV codes relevant to construction work and engineering design services.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in construction, engineering design, and project management, particularly those experienced in large-scale infrastructure projects. The two-stage tender process includes early contractor involvement, allowing businesses to showcase their strategic planning and cost management capabilities, which could be leveraged for further growth and collaboration with public authorities. Companies specialising in guided busway construction, civil engineering, and transport infrastructure will find this tender particularly aligned with their expertise. The requirement for a comprehensive approach to design, buildability assessments, and complex logistical planning signifies opportunities for businesses ready to manage multi-faceted projects within a regulated framework.
