## Summary

This procurement process, conducted by the Department for Work & Pensions, sought to enhance youth engagement through a learning and development programme titled "Engaging Young People," aimed at improving work coaches' skills when engaging 16-24-year-olds. The focus was on staff training services, particularly improving engagement and employment coaching. As a central government authority based in London, the department has completed the award stage, selecting THE NATIONAL YOUTH AGENCY as the supplier. The contract commenced on 7 March 2026 and will continue through to 6 April 2026, covering delivery across various regions in the United Kingdom. The direct procurement method used for this tender was below threshold without competition, aligning with the UK Public Contracts Act 2023/54.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for organisations specialising in training and development services, particularly those with expertise in youth engagement and employment coaching across different geographical regions in the UK. Companies with experience in scenario-based learning and evidence-based youth-focused interventions are well-suited to challenge existing market players by leveraging their skills in improving employment outcomes among young people. Small to medium-sized enterprises with innovative approaches to practical training could greatly benefit, especially if they are looking to expand their reach and build their credibility within the government sector. The involvement of THE NATIONAL YOUTH AGENCY, a small organization with strategic expertise in youth services, underscores the potential for similar entities to thrive in this domain.
