## Summary

Newport City Council has issued a tender inviting applications for inclusion on the approved list for the provision of domiciliary care services within Newport. The procurement process, which utilises a restricted procedure, falls under the Social work services category and adheres to the principles of a Dynamic Purchasing System. Active responses can be submitted via an electronic submission method on the eTenderwales portal, with a submission deadline set for 27 March 2026. This opportunity targets providers registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales to serve the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board region and will remain active until February 22, 2029, unless requirements change.

The tender presents a significant opportunity for companies involved in social work services to expand their operations by securing a position on the approved provider list. Businesses that are already registered in the relevant region with CIW can benefit from pre-established pathways to offer domiciliary care services, although Newport City Council does not guarantee any immediate contracts. New entrants in the market have an open avenue to propose their services. The framework agreement encourages operational flexibility and potential growth within a structured procurement system, ideal for companies looking to scale their services in the Newport area, leveraging a substantial contract value of £55 million GBP.
