## Summary

The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is currently in the tender stage of procuring a Mobile Policing Solution under a fully managed Software as a Service (SaaS) model. The procurement, titled "Mobile Policing Solution," belongs to the services industry category, specifically focusing on software packages and IT services. The process will be conducted through a Competitive Flexible Procedure, which includes three stages: Conditions of Participation & Invitation to Tender, Supplier Demonstration, and Dialogue Questions & Best and Final Offer (BAFO). Interested suppliers are invited to submit their tenders by 11:00 am on 9th April 2026, with the expectation to deliver services across the North Yorkshire region in the United Kingdom.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for businesses specialising in software development and IT support services. Companies offering industry-specific software packages or acting as application service providers may find this tender especially appealing. The requirement for secure, efficient mobile access to core policing functions emphasises the need for quality and reliable software solutions, making it ideal for tech firms with innovative SaaS offerings. The single-provider contract approach suggests that businesses with comprehensive offerings and the ability to cater to complex policing requirements will be well-suited to compete.
