## Summary

The procurement process for the "111 and Integrated Urgent Care Service" facilitated by NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (ICB) as the Lead Commissioner, along with NHS Frimley ICB as Associate Commissioner, seeks to deliver NHS 111 services and integrated urgent care within the health services industry. The services are intended to operate across the UKJ region, specifically the counties of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Frimley with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust fulfilling this contract under the Provider Selection Regime Direct Award C. The process initiated under the Health Care Services Regulations 2023 bypassed usual publication requirements, commending South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust based on quality, value, and its capacity to improve access without compromising service sustainability. The contract award commenced on 1 April 2026, with the total anticipated contract value being £73,291,890 over the term. This procurement has now concluded with initiatives spearheaded by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of the Commissioners.

This tender presents significant business augmentation opportunities, particularly for organisations specialising in health service delivery, telecommunication triage systems, and clinical assessment services. Given the direct award to South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, entities capable of delivering high-quality, value-driven health services or integrating innovative technology in urgent care settings might find competitive prospects. The focus on integration, collaboration, and service sustainability while addressing health inequalities opens a gateway for businesses with strategic alignments in social value creation and health service improvement. Additionally, partnerships enhancing clinician-led assessments remarkably cater to the evolving demands of the NHS framework and regulatory landscape therein, paving ways for sustainable and impactful business growth in the health services sector.
