## Summary

The NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board has commissioned a Community Discharge Support Service in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. This project, under the healthcare services category, aims to provide support for individuals transitioning from hospital to home. The procurement process has reached the 'Award' stage, with the contract set to commence on 1 April 2026 and end on 31 March 2027. The contract, valued at £532,456.65, follows the PSR Direct Award C method under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. Any representations regarding the award decision need to be made by 24 March 2026, marking the end of the standstill period.

This contract can create significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health service support, particularly those experienced in handling patient discharge and flow within community settings. Organisations that offer physiotherapy, multi-therapy assistance, and coordination services, especially small and medium-sized enterprises like Sports Physios Limited (trading as Active Solutions), are well-positioned to compete. Such businesses can showcase their ability to contribute effectively to healthcare services, offering quality, value, and social impact, all of which are vital criteria highlighted under the PSR framework. The procurement method and approach used also reduce competitive pressures, as it involves a limited procedure without prior publication of a call for competition.
