## Summary

The NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board is involved in the procurement of a Crisis/Drop-In Service, classified within the health services industry category. The process is at the award stage under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), rather than the usual Public Contracts Regulations. The procurement involves a direct award to the existing provider, West Lancs Crisis and Info Centre (Birchwood), located in the UKD4 region. Crucial dates include a standstill period starting from the publication of the award notice on 11 March 2026, with representations by providers due by 24 March 2026. The service has a planned commencement date of 1 April 2026 and is expected to run until 31 March 2027, valued at approximately £160,376.

The procurement of the Crisis/Drop-In Service represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the health services sector, particularly those capable of demonstrating high standards in quality and innovation, value integration, collaboration, and social value. As the contract follows a direct award process and is designed for an existing provider that is already fulfilling similar services, ideal candidates would be businesses that have proven track records in addressing health inequalities and improving access to essential services. The procurement method used suggests a streamlined process, potentially offering growth opportunities to SMEs that specialise in maintaining consistent service delivery in health crises management.
