## Summary

The Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is currently planning a procurement process to implement the WID Easy swab test, a pilot project designed to facilitate the early detection of endometrial cancer. Classified under pathology services, this initiative aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy for women experiencing Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB). As part of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), applicants interested in being considered as the 'most suitable provider' should express their interest within the framework of Health Care Services Regulations 2023, rather than the typical Public Contracts Regulations. This procurement is at the planning stage with an intention to commence the trial period on 12th April 2026, lasting between three to six months. Interested parties need to contact the trust by email between 12th March 2026 and 26th March 2026.

This tender offers promising opportunities for businesses in the healthcare services industry, particularly those involved in developing or supplying diagnostic tools and solutions. The planned contract, valued between £30,000 and £40,000, provides scope for growth for companies that can demonstrate innovation and efficacy in cancer detection technologies. Businesses specialising in pathology or biomedical services would be particularly well-suited to compete in this procurement initiative, potentially benefitting from a strategic partnership with a regional healthcare authority like Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, which serves the Kieghley area within region UKE41 of the United Kingdom.
