## Summary

The NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board is set to award a contract for the GP Referred Adult Hearing Service under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulations 2023, with the process reaching the award stage. The contract intends to cover ENT or audiologist services focusing on age-related hearing loss for adults over the age of 55. The procurement, valued at £259,544, will run from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2028, serving the regions of Bedfordshire and Luton. The contract has been approved by the ICB Chiefs, and the standstill period for provider representations ends at midnight on 25th March 2026.

This tender presents promising opportunities for businesses within the audiology and healthcare services industry, particularly those capable of providing comprehensive hearing assessments and rehabilitative support. With the procurement method being a direct award without prior publication of a call for competition, it favours experienced providers, such as large enterprises like Scrivens Ltd. Businesses specialising in hearing aid services and adult care would be well-placed to deliver the required standard of care and leverage the contract to expand their service portfolio in the Bedfordshire and Luton area. The procurement strategy, prioritising continuity and service level satisfaction, highlights the significance of established expertise and reliability in fulfilling contract terms.
