## Summary

The NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board has initiated a procurement process under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for health services, specifically targeting the delivery of a Social Prescribing service. This service aims to improve health outcomes by connecting people to local community resources, thereby enhancing their ability to self-manage conditions and reducing reliance on unplanned health care services. The contract is a direct award to the existing provider, People Potential Possibilities, and is set for a duration of one year starting 1st April 2026. The standstill period has begun, allowing for representations until midnight on 25th March 2026. Located in Milton Keynes, the procurement falls under the industry category of health services, UKJ12 region.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses in the health services sector, particularly those with expertise in community outreach and social support. Companies that excel in building community connections and reducing healthcare dependence could greatly benefit from engaging in similar procurement opportunities. The direct award procedure without prior competition suggests that established providers with proven track records in delivering high-quality services are likely to be favoured. Thus, businesses adept at networking, community engagement, and providing comprehensive social support services might find promising prospects in this area. The contract, valued at £205,351, highlights the potential for meaningful partnerships within the healthcare industry.
