## Summary

In the forthcoming procurement process led by NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board, a contract for Health services will be awarded under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) to the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust. The service focuses on Non-Emergency Patient Transport in Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, and Luton, intended to start from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2028. The procurement stage is at the award phase, with a standstill period commenced, allowing representations by providers until midnight on 25th March 2026. This procurement, valued at approximately £14,969,128, utilises a limited methodology without prior publication for competition calls due to the Healthcare Services Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities for healthcare service providers that specialise in patient transportation and logistics. Ideal businesses for this opportunity are those capable of delivering NHS-funded transport solutions for patients with medical or mobility needs. The contract aims to support outpatient appointments, dialysis transfers, hospital discharges, and adhere to strict eligibility criteria, enhancing the service delivery framework for non-emergency transport. Businesses with experience in healthcare logistics and patient welfare compliance will find this award particularly suitable, given its commitment to serving the most in need effectively.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

- They have a medical need
- They have a cognitive or sensory impairment
- They have a significant mobility need
- They are travelling to or returning from in-centre haemodialysis
- A safeguarding concern has been raised
- They have wider mobility or medical needs that have resulted in treatment or discharge being missed or severely delayed.

The dates between which the service is intended to be provided are 01.04.2026 - 31.03.2028.
