DESNZ have asked us to manage historic sources collected under National Arrangements for Incidents involving Radiation (NAIR). Three lots of sources requiring disposal have been identified. According to DESNZ engagement these sources require collection and management by a source collection agency (SCA). The collection lots are: Liverpool: Boxed Instrument (Ra-226) and depleted Uranium sample Bermondsey: Stick source (Ra-226) Barnet: Two (2) radio luminous dials (Ra-226) and ~5 kg of depleted Uranium Activities undertaken for each slot: 1. Pre-Collection engagement with individual in possession of the sources 2. Collection of the sources from the individual in Barnet 3. Packaging sources at the supplier premises and disposal.
