## Summary

The London Borough of Lewisham is actively seeking to commission a single, integrated Advice Service to operate borough-wide, as per the tender issued on 3rd July 2026. This service targets the delivery of critical support in welfare benefits, debt, housing, immigration, and cost of living issues. It is particularly aimed at residents facing access barriers and is expected to be delivered through multi-channel methods. The procurement process is at the tender stage and follows an open procedure, with submissions due by 17th September 2026. The contract, valued at up to £950,000 per year, will commence in April 2027 for an initial term of two years, with an extension of up to three years subject to performance and funding. The services fall under the industry category of social work and related services, located within the London region (UKI44).

This tender presents ample opportunities for businesses that specialise in delivering community-support services, particularly those adept in financial advice, social work, and support services. It particularly encourages participation from SMEs and VCS organisations, enhancing community capacity by collaborating with smaller entities. By acting as a strategic lead, the awarded provider can leverage their expertise to work in partnership with other organisations, not only enhancing their footprint within the local community but also expanding service delivery capabilities. This contract offers a significant growth opportunity for businesses able to deliver high-quality, accessible, and collaborative advice services that align with the Council’s objectives.
