## Summary

The public procurement process, initiated by Brunelcare, invites tenders for the "Fire Alarm Installation Works and Associated Goods" to ensure compliance and safety across its estate. Brunelcare, a Bristol-based charity providing housing and care for later living, intends to replace and install fire alarm systems in various facilities, including care homes and sheltered housing. The procurement falls under the industry category of fire-detection and alarm systems. The tender, managed by Shared Services for Housing Limited acting as a procurement consultant, employs an open procedure method. The contract, valued at £700,000 including VAT, is set to commence on 1st September 2026, with a duration of two years. The deadline for tender submissions is 12 PM on 12th June 2026, with the work to be carried out across the South West region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in fire safety systems and installation services. Companies with expertise in delivering high-quality fire alarm installations, especially those familiar with working within residential care settings, would be well-suited to compete. The emphasis on quality (60%) in the award criteria, coupled with a substantial project budget, provides an attractive prospect for SMEs aiming to expand their portfolio with prestigious contracts. Engaging with this procurement could enable businesses to establish or strengthen their presence in the public sector housing market, promoting growth through increased visibility and workload.
