## Summary

This public procurement contracting process, initiated in the planning stage by Severn Trent Water Limited, involves the Supply and Install of Modular Treatment Equipment, specifically Preliminary, Primary Filtration, and Fixed Film Biological Systems. The procurement falls under the industry category of machinery for the treatment of sewage and spans multiple regions across the United Kingdom, including the UKC, UKD, UKE, UKF, UKG, UKH, UKI, UKJ, and UKK regions. Key dates include the procurement process planning initiated in March 2026, with engagement activities scheduled for April 2026. The framework agreement is established under utilities special regime regulations, and Severn Trent Water Limited has outlined a competitive flexible procurement method featuring a multi-stage evaluation process. The anticipated contract period extends from December 2026 to December 2029, with provisions for renewal.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in modular treatment equipment, particularly those capable of designing, supplying, and installing containerised systems for sewage treatment. Companies with experience in providing innovative filtration and biological treatment solutions, along with the capacity for complex civil works, stand to benefit from engaging in this process. The tender offers incentives for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as the procurement procedure includes a framework agreement without reopening competition. With an emphasis on quality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness, companies proficient in cutting-edge sewage treatment technologies equipped to meet stringent British/European standards and specific performance criteria will likely thrive in this competitive environment.

## Notice

This tender process is for the provision of Supply & Install of Modular Treatment Equipment: Fixed-Film Biological, Preliminary and Primary Filtration Systems. A summary of the scope across all Lots forming part of this tender is stated below. The Modular Treatment framework will consist of suppliers who have the ability to design, supply & install containerised assets on a flatbed vehicle as a standalone solution either be removed via roll on/roll off functionality or craneage. This framework will also consider semi modular assets which are assembled/installed by the asset supplier and involve greater civil complexity due to these assets requiring partial burying, but typically without the requirement for additional shuttering that's associated with traditional concrete assets. These assets will either be purchased by the Utilities directly and the novated or free issued to the Utilities Capital Construction supply chain partners.
