## Summary

The Department for Transport, located in London, UK, has completed a direct procurement process to appoint BSI Standards Limited for the Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) Standards Programme - Phase 4. This programme, aimed at accelerating CAM deployments in the UK, supporting UK leadership, and aligning with international standards, ran from 13th May 2026 to 31st March 2029. The procurement reached the award stage, where BSI was selected due to its unique capability to deliver standard creation services. The contract awarded was valued at approximately £1.65 million, exclusive of gross value, classified under research services applicable across the United Kingdom.

This contract provides significant growth opportunities, particularly for organisations specialising in research services and technology development related to connected and automated mobility. Companies in the industry will benefit from involvement in advancing UK leadership in this field. Due to the nature of the direct award to BSI, businesses involved in CAM development can anticipate insights derived from the latest standards, which may inform their research and deployment strategies, fostering innovation and collaboration within the sector.

## Notice

The Depart for Transport is seeking to appoint the British Standards Institute (BSI) to deliver the next phase of its Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) Standards Programme.
