## Summary

Bracknell Forest Borough Council is undertaking a Direct Award C procurement for the provision of a Stop Smoking Service, classified under health services (CPV 85100000). The contract, governed by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, has been awarded to the incumbent provider with an initial term from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2027, and the option to extend up to April 2031. The total potential value is £750,000 over a five-year term, contingent on additional grant funding. The initial award date is 9 April 2026, following a standstill period that concluded on 8 April 2026. This award, established in Bracknell Forest (UKJ11), is managed under a limited procurement method, bypassing the need for prior competition calls.

This procurement process presents significant opportunities for businesses within the health services sector, particularly those focused on innovative health promotion and community health services. Solutions 4 Health, a large-scale organisation, has been identified as the service provider underlining potential advantages for similar organisations with capabilities in providing accessible, cost-effective health services and reducing health disparities. Firms adept in integrating modern technology and collaboration strategies to enhance public health outcomes may find similar opportunities attractive, aligning with the Council's aim to make non-smoking the societal norm in the region.
