## Summary

The NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) recently completed the procurement process for the provision of a Southwest Secure Data Environment (SDE). This contract, awarded on 25th March 2026, is valued at £258,560 and falls within the business analysis consultancy services sector. It aims to enhance the management, sharing, and analysis of sensitive data through a cloud-based service, supporting research across six integrated care systems. Conducted under the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud 14 Framework, the procurement method followed a limited award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition, adhering to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

This tender offers lucrative opportunities for businesses specialising in technical consultancy, particularly those with expertise in cloud-based services and data management systems. As the platform transitions into a business-as-usual phase, organisations with robust technical proficiency can play a pivotal role in its ongoing development and improvement. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), such as Simpson Associates Information Services Limited, which was awarded the contract, are well-positioned to benefit from the allocated funding and the chance to collaborate with the NHS in delivering high-quality services to researchers. The potential for a 12-month contract extension provides additional opportunities for sustained business growth in this innovative sector.
