## Notice

East Lothian Council requires removal services to meet the following requirements: Removals service for East Lothian Council operational facilities (office, public buildings and school removals). Removal and Storage service in East Lothian for domestic furniture and personal belongings in relation to the Council's property maintenance programme as well as situations relating to homelessness, abandonments, evictions, decants, Scottish Welfare Fund community care grants and adult social work. Carpet fitting services are required for domestic removals. For removals associated with the Council's property maintenance programme the Service Provider delivers carpets back to the Tenant the day before the furniture is returned. The carpet fitter fits the carpets on the day carpets are delivered back to the Tenant. In some circumstances the Council must comply with statutory requirements and timescales regarding the removal and storage of personal possessions and the Contractor must be able to comply with such. Storage must be secure and fit for purpose and within a practical visiting distance to allow clients access to their property on request. Disposal of items with the aim of maximising recycling and re-use opportunities.

### Lot Information

Residential Properties Removal (with and without storage)

The Lot 1 Service Provider will provide removal, transfer and storage of Removal Items as determined and notified by the following East Lothian Council departments. Disposal of items may also be required. Property Maintenance Community Housing Revenues and Benefits Adult Wellbeing

Renewal: The contract term is for a 3 year period with the option for East Lothian Council to extend by 12 months on 2 occasions.

Office\Schools removals for East Lothian Council offices, schools, public buildings (planned and reactive)

The Lot 2 Service Provider will provide removal and transfer of Removal Items as determined and notified by the East Lothian Council department stated at 1.3.1 of the Specification. Disposal of items may also be required. Storage is not normally required as part of this requirement but there may be a limited requirement for storage for individual projects.
