## Summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is actively seeking a partner for managing the John West House, a recently refurbished hostel facility located in Maidenhead, within the region UKJ11. This procurement process is currently at the tender stage, with the final date for tender submission set for 24th July 2026. With a planned contract period starting from 30th April 2027, the Authority is offering an open procurement procedure under the legal basis of UKPGA 2023/54. The total contract value is set at £1,940,000 (excluding VAT), with provisions for possible contract extensions up to 2031. This service falls under the housing services industry category, with the opportunity for suppliers to submit tenders electronically in English via the specified e-procurement platform.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in housing services, especially those focusing on operational management and tenant services in publicly owned facilities. The significant contract value, coupled with the potential for extension, presents lucrative development opportunities for both SMEs and VCSEs qualified in delivering consistent operational services. The requirement for a 24-hour staff presence and the management of resident relations suggests that businesses with robust operational logistics and experience in facilities management are well-suited to compete. Collaborative and capable suppliers can leverage this opportunity to grow their business by aligning their offerings with the needs of local public authorities, particularly in the socio-community sector.
