## Summary

The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation), a sub-central government public authority based in London, is actively seeking to procure enterprise end-user IT and infrastructure services under Project Petra. This procurement process falls within the information technology services industry category and seeks to consolidate technology and drive automation across its global operations, with a focus on critical production workflows. The procurement is at the tender stage with a selective, competitive flexible procedure in place, where initial tenders will be limited to six suppliers, followed by negotiations and a final tender stage. Interested parties must submit their expression of interest by 30 April 2026, with the enquiry period closing on 23 April 2026. The contract, valued at £661 million, will stretch over five years with the possibility of extending up to three additional years, commencing on 22 February 2027.

This tender provides a substantial opportunity for companies specialising in IT services, particularly those with expertise in end-user support, network, email collaboration, and infrastructure management. The potential value of the contract, alongside the drive for technological consolidation and automation, poses growth prospects for businesses capable of delivering robust solutions that align with transformative objectives. Companies adept at offering high-quality services and demonstrating commercial viability are encouraged to compete, as the award criteria heavily weigh quality at 40% and commercial at 60%. Firms that can work collaboratively with the BBC to deliver long-term savings and innovation will find this tender particularly rewarding.
