## Summary

The procurement process initiated by the Bank of England is currently in the planning stage for a Minor Works Framework targeting Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (Lot 1) and Building Fabric (Lot 2) projects. This framework aims to support ongoing construction and maintenance services through upgrade and refit projects across the Bank's properties. The public authority, located at Threadneedle Street in London, is inviting preliminary market engagement until 29 April 2026. Businesses are encouraged to register interest and submit introductory information via email. The anticipated tender issuance will be in June 2026, to commence the framework by 1 December 2026. With a projected framework term of four years, this opportunity covers regions including Yorkshire and the Humber (UKE), East (UKH), and London (UKI), under the 'works' industry category, with an estimated value of up to £1.5m per annum including VAT for each Lot.

This tender offers a promising avenue for businesses specialising in construction work, particularly those with capabilities in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building fabric projects. Suitable for SMEs, this framework promises consistent opportunities for firms equipped to deliver survey, design, build, and commissioning services. By participating in this procurement exercise, businesses can expand their portfolio with high-value projects, gaining potential access to contracts valued at up to £12 million gross, spanning over multiple regions within the United Kingdom. The establishment of a closed framework involving at least two suppliers ensures continuous engagement, creating robust pathways for sustained business growth and strategic alignment with a prestigious central government entity.

## Notice

The Bank of England has an ongoing requirement for contractors to provide minor works construction and maintenance services to provide upgrade and refit projects to the Bank's properties. The opportunity will be split into two Lots: Lot 1 - Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing Lot 2 - Building Fabric The works will be provided via call-off contracts under a framework. The purpose of this procurement exercise is to establish closed framework with a least 2 suppliers. This will provide the ability to call off survey, design, build and commissioning for individual work orders. The term of the framework will be 4 year and it is anticipated that it will start on 01/12/2026. The estimate total value of the all call-off contracts will be up to PS1.5m including VAT per annum for each Lot. It is anticipated, dependent upon an engagement exercise, that tenders for this service will be issued in June 2026, to enable the contract framework to begin towards the end of 2026.
