## Summary

This procurement process involves the NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS), which is embarking on a framework agreement titled "Orthotic and Prosthetic Services" under the procurement ID SBS10539. The process is currently at the planning stage, with a focus on engaging with suppliers in the Orthotic and Prosthetic Services market. This engagement is part of a pre-market exercise, identifying potential providers before a full tender. The NHS SBS, situated in London, United Kingdom, intends to support NHS and Social Care organisations across the UK through this intended framework. Potential suppliers must ensure they have a valid DUNS number to register for participation. The estimated framework value is £160 million over four years, commencing from 9 October 2027, with further market engagement using the SAP Ariba eSourcing system. Future contract notice publication is expected by 21 January 2027.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those focused on orthotic and prosthetic solutions. Companies that are dedicated to delivering high-quality orthotic and prosthetic services will find this framework advantageous, especially if they can demonstrate commitments to sustainability and social value, as these elements will be weighted significantly in the tender evaluation. Businesses that operate within the domain of rehabilitation services are also potentially well-suited for this tender, and they can leverage the opportunity to collaborate with NHS and various social care organisations across the UK, supporting patient mobility and independence. This engagement process could set the stage for long-term collaboration and business growth within the healthcare services market.
