Each year, the Council aims to complete between 4,500 and 5,000 primary inspections, in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice. These inspections may be conducted at any type or size of food business, many of which are located in inner-city areas. A number of operators may have limited understanding of food safety and food law requirements. * To ensure thorough compliance, inspections typically include: * Food hygiene checks * Food standards assessments * Duty of Care inspections, confirming appropriate refuse disposal arrangements.
