## Summary

The public procurement contracting process is led by Satellite Applications Catapult Ltd, located in Didcot, United Kingdom. They have issued a tender titled "Wind Flow Generation Equipment Requirement" focusing on services in the "Design and execution of research and development" industry category. The procurement is at the tender stage, with key deadlines including the tender period ending on 14th May 2026, the enquiry period closing on 22nd April 2026, and the award period concluding by 1st July 2026. This procurement process, conducted under an open procedure, seeks to acquire a modular and controllable wind flow generation system to aid in the evaluation of unmanned aerial systems, with delivery expected at their facilities in the UKJ1 region. The total estimated contract value is £480,000 (including VAT).

This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities, particularly for enterprises involved in advanced equipment manufacturing, research and development services, and those who can provide innovative solutions in aerospace testing. It is especially well-suited for SMEs and organisations that prioritise quality and cost-effectiveness; the evaluation criteria are heavily weighted on solution capability, implementation plan, and cost. Given the significant emphasis on innovation and experience, companies with a proven track record in delivering high-quality, configurable wind condition systems and a strong understanding of autonomous systems will find this opportunity particularly beneficial. The potential for further contract extension and additional requirements ensures that participating businesses may also secure long-term engagement prospects with the buying organisation.

## Notice

Our requirement is for one modular, controllable aerodynamic wind flow generation system capable of producing highly repeatable, configurable wind conditions for the testing, calibration and evaluation of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and other autonomous platforms. Responses should include all costs for delivery into our building.
