The framework will support highways maintenance operations across seven operational areas in North Yorkshire. The framework will operate for an initial term of two years, with options to extend for up to two further one-year periods, and is divided into five lots covering plant hire, small tools and equipment, welfare units, telehandlers and the maintenance of NYH-owned assets. Suppliers must provide modern, safe and fully compliant equipment with all required certification, alongside planned and emergency response services, including delivery, breakdown support and replacement equipment where required. The framework will ensure continuous access to reliable equipment and responsive support services essential to the delivery of highways maintenance activities across North Yorkshire. ### Lot Information Plant The hire of non-operated plant and attachments to support highway maintenance operations across North Yorkshire. Equipment includes air compressors, compaction rollers, dumpers and attachments. All equipment must meet maximum vibration ratings of 5 m/s2 and noise ratings of 85 dB(A). Suppliers must provide both planned hire and 24/7 emergency response capability, with replacement or breakdown response within 2 hours or by the start of the next working day, whichever is sooner. Renewal: Option 1 to Extend: 1st Sept 2028- 31 Aug 2029 Option 2 to Extend: 1st Sept 2029- 31 Aug 2030 Tool Hire The hire of tools and small powered equipment to support highway maintenance operations across North Yorkshire. Weekly servicing is required, including emptying and cleansing, waste disposal, and supply and replenishment of chemicals, water and cleaning materials. All machines must comply with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and be supplied with a valid certificate of thorough examination. Emergency replacement is required within 2 hours.
