## Summary

NY Highways Limited is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process involving a comprehensive Framework Agreement for non-operated plant hire services. This framework encompasses the hire of plant equipment, tools, welfare units, and telehandlers, as well as the maintenance of NYH-owned assets, all aimed at supporting the ongoing highway maintenance operations across North Yorkshire. This procurement is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and is initially set for two years, with options to extend up to 2030. The industry category focuses on services related to machinery for mining, quarrying, construction equipment, repair and maintenance, and includes multiple lots to cater to different equipment and service needs. Key dates include a tender submission deadline at the end of May 2026 and a planned contract start on 1st September 2026.

This tender presents multiple opportunities for businesses in the construction and plant hire industries to engage with a public organisation, providing a platform to supply equipment and services pivotal for highway maintenance. Businesses suitable for this tender include those offering modern and compliant equipment with the capacity for rapid emergency response and routine maintenance services. SMEs are encouraged to participate, as the framework supports competitive pricing and excellence in service delivery. With significant budgets allocated and clear performance requirements, participating suppliers have the opportunity to not only secure recurring business over several years but also to support sustainability and environmental objectives alongside NY Highways Ltd.
