## Summary

Worcester City Council is currently in the planning stage of a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) exercise titled "Worcester City Council Preliminary Market Engagement Exercise for Memorial Products to Crematoria." This exercise falls under the services category with additional categories including goods, and it pertains primarily to the UKG12 region in the United Kingdom. The purpose of the PME is to assess the market's capability in delivering memorial products and related services. The engagement includes a scheduled milestone with a due date for responses by 7th May 2026. This non-competitive exercise, conducted following the Procurement Act 2023, aims to collect data to inform future procurement strategies, and businesses can access related documents through the Proactis Pro-Contract portal.

This engagement presents a valuable growth opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), particularly those involved in providing community, social, personal services, furnishings, and printing services. Businesses experienced in offering innovative delivery models and solutions tailored to public sector needs would be well-suited to participate. Although the exercise does not constitute a competitive procurement process, it allows businesses to position themselves advantageously by demonstrating their capability and offering insights that could shape future tender specifications. Participating can potentially enable companies to forge connections with the Worcester City Council for future procurement opportunities.
